Welcome to the MARC!
The Moab Arts & Recreation Center offers arts, educational, cultural and recreational programs and events for community children and adults. Since its formation in 1997, the MARC has become a place where community is built. The MARC hosts art and movement classes, art shows, workshops by visiting teachers, and is a community meeting facility.
The MARC is available for rent at an hourly or daily rate. Have your next event, class, wedding, or meeting at the MARC.

Sheng Zhen Zhongtian Meditation Seminar Series
Dates: January 28 to March 24, 2012
Phoenix Rising invites you to a meditation Series, to deepen the oneness of all. Together, meditation strengthens us individually and collectively for our planet. Each three hour, monthly segement will comfortably guide you through the Zhongtian Yiqi meditation practice. Learn to quiet the mind and relax the body while sitting in place, steeped in unconditional love to support the nervous system and our challenging world. The energy of the qi supports eachother throughout this quiet practice. We become one with eachother and strengthened by many in the collective practice.
Sign up and commitment to all three sessions is recommended.

Writing Promotion Workshop with Ann Gordon
Dates: January 28, 2012
10:00am to 1:00pm
Cost: for Moab Poets & Writers Members: $10; non-members: $15
"Promoting and Selling Your Writing Online" -- Learn how to promote your writing online through a website or blog, and through Social Media sites like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. Learn how to prepare your writing for selling through Smashwords or Kindle. Also learn the benefits of posting your writing on Podiobooks. The workshop includes instructions, demonstrations and handouts, along with time-saving tips.
The workshop has no extended lunch break but includes a short break for snacks. Water bottles will be provided by MP&W. To sign up for the workshop contact Marcy at 259-6197.
